Submission Guidelines
We are not currently reading unsolicited submissions but will be happy to consider proposals between October 15 and December 31, 2008, when we begin putting together our list for 2009.
If your book is provocative, profound, or hilarious, chances are it's a KenArnoldBook. We're looking for books that inspire, enlighten, and challenge assumptions--books with heart and soul, humor and hope.
Please read before submitting:
Because we are a web-based company, we require manuscripts (after they have been requested) in digital form for review and publication. We do not accept hard copy manuscripts via snail mail. Unsolicited manuscripts that make their way to our street address will be discarded unread.
Our books are professionally designed with four-color covers and classic interiors. However, we do not publish books requiring interior art or photography.
Specific interests:
Original fiction, nonfiction (progressive spirituality--Eastern/Western and beyond--political satire, environmental, personal journey, multicultural), poetry, humor, animal stories-and select reprints of books in these areas.

What we do not publish:
Traditional theology, reactionary politics and commentary, medical/health books, erotica, textbooks, coffee table books, children's picture books, chapter books, or middle grade or young adult books.

How to submit--authors/writers
* Send an email query to submissions@kenarnoldbooks.com, briefly describing your book.
* In Subject line write "Query, with your name, book title, and date" (for example, Query, Ken Arnold, My Life, March 1, 2008)
* Note published credits and referral information if applicable.
* Give us a brief biographical statement.
* For fiction, humor (fiction/nonfiction), and poetry, send an email query plus up to 10 single-spaced manuscript pages pasted into the email. Proposed books must be at least 70 pages in length for poetry and 120 pages for other categories.
* Do not send a manuscript or complete proposal unless we request it.
* Do not send attachments. We will not open them.
* Allow us at least three months to respond.
